The Zumtobel Group is an international lighting group and a leading supplier of innovative lighting solutions, lighting components and associated services. With its core brands, Zumtobel, Thorn and Tridonic, the Group offers its customers around the world a comprehensive portfolio of products and services. We are looking to expand our presence in the Indian market and are aiming to hire someone with drive and energy to develop the market. The role is a for a hands-on Senior Sales Manager who can build and lead a strong team around them.
Responsibilities
You will grow and lead a new sales team to increase the focus on growth for Zumtobel Group Lighting brands in India. You should develop existing and establish new customer networks with the aim of building long-term relationships within India. You will develop, manage and maintain relations with key Specifiers, Municipalities, Lighting Designers, Architects, End Customers, Contractors and Distributors. The aim is for you to achieve profit and sales targets by managing a constant sales project pipeline - from preparation and negotiation to contract closure. Monitor and analyse the market and competition including identification of new market potential and follow-up of business opportunities. You will grow the sales team in India by actively recruiting new employees and working with those to build their project pipelines and achieve sales targets.
Skills & Experience
You are experienced in customer facing sales roles with the ability to actively engage with customers on a day to day basis. You should have a full understanding of the B2B Sales Cycle. A bachelor’s degree ideally in an engineering related subject. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of SAP or a similar CRM system, Salesforce and MS Office. You have strong commercial & negotiation skills and proven record of profitable long-term business partnerships. You are enthusiastic, hands on, highly proactive and a self-reliant person with great communication & interposal skills. You have the ability to travel around India as required. You should be fluent in English as well as the local language.
